It's Friday

There has been an amazing amount of work completed this week by everyone. Take a few minutes and reflect on what you have learned. Any AAAHHHHH moments you would like to share? What is the biggest accomplishment you are coming away with? Anything else you would like to share with your colleagues in the class.....

  1. Wow! What a week. I have learned many things and feel I need to learn so much more. I had no idea of how far technology had advanced. I feel like photostory is something I can use right away in my classroom. I have also been working on gathering lessons to use with the SMARTBoard. It will be great to continue to work with Marian on SMARTBoard technology. We have already found ways to incorporate this technology into our math, science, and language arts activities. I am excited about the opportunities that this opens up for my students. I think my biggest accomplishment is coming away with a better understanding of the technology that is out there and how to use it with my students.

  2. This week has been amazing. I never would of had the time to explore so many web 2.0 web sites/programs on my own. Just learning new terms of web 2.0 and seeing the different demos of the web sites was extremely helpful. I hope to (if I have the time this year) to develop a web site using Webnode. Having the time to develop my project using Delicious and Flickr was fantastic. I am really looking forward to using the project with my Technology of Science class. I now will have an Elmo, LCD projector in my classroom which will be integrated into all of my class. Thank you Lisa and Joanne for doing such a fantastic job. The format of the class and your expertise was outstanding.

  3. This class has been great! I've learned so much from Lisa and Joanne's instruction and all the presentations. The presentations have been impresive and inspiring. The questions others have asked have been helpful as well. This class has given me the time to explore, learn, and practice new tech skills. I am coming away with the confidence and interest to keep learning more about technology and ways to integrate it into my classroom.

  4. I have loved this class! I'm already looking forward to "level 2" next year! :) Having time to "explore" has been extremely beneficial! There are not enough hours in the day to investigate the wonderful web 2.0 tools and that was important for me this week. It's funny...I completed many projects this week, but with all the new learning, I continue to add more to do! Using new tools creatively is inspiring! Thank you to everyone who shared so that we can all think outside the box and use these tools in a different way within our classrooms! Aimee

  6. I entered this class with anxiety and fear. Fear of what I was unable to do, anxious about what everyone else was going to think of my tech (lack of) skills. What I have learned is that the sky is the limit. My attitude now is about the possibility of what I can learn and use in my classroom. I want to take more classes so that I too can became a techy.

  7. First, thank you to Joanne & Lisa for your time and support! And thank you to everyone who brought in snacks to share. As many people already said, there's so much out there and you need to always be looking to stay on top of new technologies that are available and this class has been a great oppotunity to do that. The time to work with wordpress, high school journalism association, new moodle modules, and student policy has been great! Thank you~

  8. I have learned so much this week and I’m excited that I have more time during the summer to mess around with web 2.0. My favorite part of the week was learning photo story. Not only did I learn the program but I got much more comfortable manipulating my pictures around the computer which was one of my goals for the course. Making the web page where all my parent communication is in one place was great. My next piece to that will be to connect my porta portal sites for children to that page.

  9. Great class! I appreciated the amount of time to explore and create. It's always nice to walk away from a class with something that is ready to use the next year. I liked the laid back atmosphere of the class and the willingness of everyone to help each other out. Was a very collaborative week. Also, lots of new tools and information to think about and play with in future years.
